‘Ha’ represents the esoteric sun, and ‘tha’ the moon. The practice of Hatha yoga aims to join, yoke, or balance these two energies.
Hatha Yoga, (Sanskrit: “Discipline of Force”) school of Yoga that mastery of the body as a way of attaining a spiritual state in which the mind is withdrawn from external objects.
‘Hatha’ yoga classes are typically practised more slowly and with more static posture holds than a Vinyasa flow or Ashtanga class - including:
asana – yoga postures (practised in any style of ‘yoga’)
pranayama – breathing techniques
mantra – chanting or reciting

Ashtanga vinyasa is a yoga practice that celebrates the 8 limbs path described by Patanjali. This practice is often described as ‘moving meditation’ as the union of movement, breath, bandhas (energy locks) and focal point will help reach a strong meditative mental state. The class is constituted by a fixed sequence of fundamental postures of the Ashtanga primary series. Fixed sequences are very helpful for finding mental stability and focus: simply get in touch with your body, letting yourself move guided by your breath, without the need to think about the next step! This class is fairly dynamic and it’s the perfect combination between strength and flexibility. The aim of the practice is to build up prana, energy/life: you’ll feel so recharged you’ll find yourself float on your way back home!

What is Sound Healing?
Sound Healing or Sound Therapy is an alternative healing modality that uses the resonance of sound to induce a meditative state. When you participate in a Sound Bath, you will experience the use of healing instruments such as Crystal Bowls, Tibetan Bowls, Drums and Gongs to invoke different rhythms and frequencies, which entrain our brainwaves to downshift from our normal consciousness to a meditative state making it possible for internal healing to take place. It’s called a bath because the sound waves and frequencies literally wash over you, cleaning away any stuck or negative energies and bringing you back in your natural state of harmony - balancing physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being.
